Pretty Pretty Yum Yum (again)

Amy’s Pretty Pretty Yum Yum covers the highlighter-bright spectrum of food and fashion in Japan and is definitely one of my favourite blogs. Whether it features the delightfully weird (like Salty Chocolate Crunch or all-mayo restaurants) or just monumentally cute (smiley face ice cream, turtle-shaped bread), Pretty Pretty Yum Yum always manages to add a […]

Kick Out The Jams

It was knives out on Saturday morning when I had friends over for Kick Out The Jams 2008. The name sounds like an outdoor festival dedicated to anthemic guitar-shredding, but really it was an excuse to grill some bread and slather on the fruity spreads and weird condiments that I bought overseas. (How punk, I […]

On holiday

Right now, it’s looking a bit sad on the blog front because I’m on holiday (and struggling with this German keyboard!). There will be LOTS to write about once I’m back though – so far, I’ve had everything from laksa pesto in Singapore to macaroons snatched off the baker’s tray in Paris, and the traditional […]

The height of dining

One of the ace things about blogging is being glove-tapped on the shoulder and being surprised with a silver platter of first-rate links. So I was lucky to have Gemma recently email me about a (literal) head-in-the-clouds foodie experience. Dinner In The Sky is exactly what its name conjures up – your meal takes place […]

Well-travelled food

Travel always triggers a tripwire of startling experiences. When you’re not lucky enough to be away, it’s still great to be treated to the animated anecdotes of a passport-wielding friend. Recently, my friend Tabitha came back from a North American trek with presents and many a good food memory in tow. I was presented with […]

About

Hi, I'm Lee Tran Lam. When not blogging with my mouth full, I'm usually writing, presenting Local Fidelity on FBi radio, making zines, producing podcasts or continually breaking promises about how I really am gonna get through my book pile one day.

All the good pictures on this blog are by photography ace (and patient boyfriend), Will Reichelt, (all the dodgy ones can be credited to me)!

The lovely banner is by friend and ultra-talented illustrator Grace Lee.

This site redesign was made possible by the next-level generosity and expertise of Daniel Boud, whose code-tinkering ways are only outranked by his seriously inspired way with a camera.

You can read more about my co-conspirators here.

This is a blog I do for pure fun and zero influence – there's no sponsorship, sneaky advertorial or advertising. I pay for all the food mentioned, 'cos it seems the ethical thing to do.

About

This is a blog about eating and drinking in Sydney, Australia (with the odd cross-border or off-topic detour). BYO appetite.
